🩺 CHEST TUBES follow @nursewellversed for visual nursing education A chest tube is a tube inserted into the pleural space to drain fluid, blood, or air. There are Three Main Chambers: 1️⃣ Drainage Chamber →Drains blood/fluid to be measured 2️⃣ Water Seal Chamber →One-way valve to allow air to exit and prevent air from entering ✅Movement with breathing = TIDALING (NORMAL) ⚠️Continuous bubbling = ABNORMAL (air leak) 3️⃣ Suction Control Chamber →Regulates the amount of suction to the pleural space
