The Santa Rosa Fire and @santarosapolice responded to a report of a vegetation fire at the end of Moraga Drive shortly before 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. The fire burned a 50 x 50’ area of mowed seasonal grass and was quickly extinguished by the crew from first arriving fire engine. Fire Department Fire Investigators and Santa Rosa Police are investigating the incident. Preliminary findings are that the fire was caused by fireworks. Santa Rosa Fire responded to reports of a vegetation fire on the undeveloped portion of the Southwest Community Park near the intersection of Tuxhorn Drive and Silver Spur Drive. The fire burned a quarter acre of mowed seasonal grasses. There were no threats to the neighboring Meadow View Elementary School nor were there any smoke impacts to students.
