When it comes to eating, she doesn’t mess around- she has shed her winter coat, so you can see her round belly in its full glory. Big bear walking. This older male brown bear is a regular at one of the rivers we visit this time of year. He’s looking a little thinner than he should for September, but he’s still got a couple of months to put on weight. Many of the bears I’ve been watching are not as fat as they would normally be this late in the season.
