‘Ngintaka’ This was easily one of the most incredible wildlife encounters of my life. The Perentie is the largest monitor lizard in Australia, and I believe the 5th or 6th largest on earth. At 2.5m long they’re a formidable species, with serrated teeth and razor sharp claws powered by 20-25kg of solid muscle. Not to mentioned that punishing whiplike tail!!
