Let me explain ⤵️ For this 1930 hutch, I wanted to somehow add interest to the color without having to strip the entire piece. I knew that some of the detailed molds and the legs had a solid stain on them that wouldn't look great when stripped and stained with traditional methods. After a lot of debate with myself, I decided a blackwash would be the way to go. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? If I messed up, I'd fix it. This isn't your standard paintwash that you use to lighten wood.
