Putting in this split rail fence was a lot of work in the spring but we’re so happy with the visual depth and structure it gives the garden! This is the first year for this garden so I’m very happy with the incredible growth and display! I have a mixture of shrubs and annuals planted here: 🌿 Annabelle hydrangea hedge 🌿 Theresa Bugnet roses 🌿 Clematis (earwigs feasted on them) 🌿 Brown eyed Susans (rudbeckia) 🌿 Shasta daisies 🌿 Cosmos / direct sowed from seed 🌿 Sunflowers / mixed varieties

We added this split rail fence on either side of the greenhouse last year and were so happy with the structure and definition it created in our new garden. AND, I got to have so much fun with plantings along the fence 🥰🙌🌿 Here’s what I grew last year ~ 🌿Annabelle hydrangea hedge (5 plants each fence x2) 🌿Cosmos ~ direct sowed along the fence (white varieties with a little Apricotta thrown in) 🌿Sunflowers ~ direct sowed 🌿Clematis planted on four fence posts 🌿Rudbeckia and Shasta daisies ~
