Halloween Phonics Day 9 - A Monster Ate My Words! 👹 A really fun and engaging way to encourage children to practise using their phonics to read and write words. It uses very few resources and because the sheet is laminated it can be used over and over again! You could even have a monster for each grapheme introduced in Phase 3 and 5! I focused on Phase 5 words with my eldest son. This is where there is an alternative grapheme (letter) making the same phoneme that has been previously taught. In
