After nearly 3 decades, Frank Stella’s iconic sculpture “The Prophet” was carefully deinstalled and placed into storage. It’s massive aluminum form greeted visitors since the museum first opened it’s doors in 1994. Stella passed away earlier this year, but the work lives on! Though it will be missed, this is bittersweet transition makes room for new art, new voices, and a new decade at Kemper Museum.
