2008年6月24日 · The best bet is to prime, although you don't necessarily need to use a specific MDF primer. A regular oil based or even water based will do the job as you are papering it. The reason for painting first is to seal the MDF which will allow the paper to slide easier on application and also to stop it absorbing all the paste.
How do I get rid of new shelves MDF Stink? | DIYnot Forums
2012年12月20日 · Unless you like sanding I'd avoid water-based primers. I've used pre-catylised MDF undercoat, but that can be hard to find in small quantities, however Zinsser make a sealant called "B-I-N Multi Surface Primer" which our decos used on a job in Manchester with good results. Don't know if it is water based, however.
