2013年8月7日 · If you already have rust I'd wire wheel it, use the rust converter, then cover it with the Encapsulator. The internet is a great resource but I think sometimes it makes us look into things too much. Just figure whatever method you choose is better than doing nothing at all.

2011年4月29日 · There are a few other similar products to Fluid Film such as Eastwood HD Anti Rust, Rust Check Rust Inhibitor or Coat and Protect, or Krown T40 Rust Inhibitor, but they may collect grime and dirt just as much. I'm ok with the fact it needs to be reaplied if it does its job well, but I'm not too excited about the reports of it collecting dirt...

2013年8月2日 · I'm not wire wheeling the frame and spraying paint. I did an experiment on my running board brackets a few years ago. I wire brushed and sanded the brackets and cleaned them with Eastwood's PRE cleaner, then used Eastwood's rust encapsulator, then used Eastwood's Extreme Chassis Black. After winter was over I checked it.

2016年8月21日 · Here's what I did: Wirebrushed every weld and sprayed on eastwood rust converter primer. Painted the inside of the frame with many cans of Eastwood green phosphate internal frame coating. Wiped down the entire frame with Isopropyl alcohol and rags. Painted the outside with Rust bullet.

2024年8月31日 · I use Eastwood rust converter on the outside of the frame. Knock down all loose stuff, wire wheel it if I have to and put a generous coating of that stuff on. Has worked fantastic over the last 11 years I have owned my Tacoma and driven in the bad weather.

2014年6月22日 · I've had good success with using Eastwood Rust Converter then painting it. I've used this stuff multiple times with excellent results. Did a complete metal trailer and then painted it. Three years later, still no rust. Just brush (or spray,) and let it dry. Only affects rust and will not hurt anything else.
