CNC Machining | Definition of each lathe axis - Practical Machinist
2008年2月16日 · I have never seen a machine (lathe) where moving towards the spindle was a positive move. On a mill up is positive, an dit would be a left hand rule. C rotates about Z A rotates about X B rotates about Y On a lathe moving the tool away from the centerline is positive and moving teh tool away from the spindle is positive.
CNC Machining | Y axis - Y axis | Practical Machinist
2005年3月13日 · If you're standing in front of the lathe, looking at it, you've got:-Chuck on the left.-X axis moves "up and down", perpendicular to centerline axis of the chuck.-Z axis moves left to right, along the centerline axis of the chuck.-Y axis moves toward you, and away from you, perpendicular to the X and Z axis.
DRO: Everything You Need to Know - Practical Machinist
2020年8月28日 · DROs are compatible with many different machines, most commonly mills and lathes. On a milling machine, a 3-axis DRO shows the X and Y axis positions of the mill table plus the Z axis position of the cutting tool. On a lathe, a typical 2-axis DRO shows the carriage and cross slide positions. So how do these devices even work?
CNC Machining | Z-axis zero return problems - Practical Machinist
2007年12月23日 · On the control slect the System or Diag key until you see PCM softkeys or the ladder diagram. If you see the PCM softkeys select the PCMLAD softkey. Once you have the ladder diagram up select the softkey for No. Search. Enter the number you noted for the decel switch input just as it was listed in the schematic (e.g. X1005.5) select search.

2004年11月18日 · Be carefull, READ means drive -> to CNC memory, punch means CNC memory TO THE DRIVE. After confrming direction TO CNC memory, push EXEC. Save a copy of everything on a card, with such a customer you definitely will need this copy. Mode MDI, offset/setting, PWE=1, CAN+RESET, I/O DEVICE=4. Put the memory card in.
CNC Machining | Reversing x-axis - Practical Machinist
2006年7月8日 · Reversing the X axis To properly reverse the X axis on a Mori, you need to reverse the pulse coder feedback signals and also the armature wires to the X axis motor. Reversing the armature wires is pretty easy (the DC current to the motor), but reversing the X pulse coder requires that you swap 2 pairs of wires in the pulse coder cable.
CNC Machining | X axis overtravel with table centralized. | Practical ...
2006年6月25日 · At the end of the session I attempted to G28 the machine to ref with MDI mode before working on another project. The X-axis moved about four inches left of center and produced an "Alarm 530 +X axis overtravel". I can't get the machine to reset. Fanuc OMD control. It is the early series CNC control box with the rotary switches rather than push ...
CNC Machining | Lathe use of G41 and G42 - Practical Machinist
2009年5月23日 · Well since most of my time is CNC mills as far as CNC goes. I know G41 runs left to travel direction on part, ie always a climb with a right hand cutter. Okay I have seen a page for an O fanuc manual for a lathe that listed G41 with the part to …
Speeding Up G-Code Programming With Canned Cycles
2019年6月11日 · We can select other planes to work in if we have a machine capable of using driven tooling. The G17 plane allows us to machine in the X and Y axis and the G19 plane for Y and Z axis. To tell the machine the direction we wish to cut we simply state the required direction in the program using G17, G18 or G19. G87 – Side Drilling Cycle
CNC Machining | milling hex with c axis - Practical Machinist
2015年7月21日 · Hello. i have a job coming up which requires a hex milling on it.my usual method is to use the c axis with a driven tool pointing in the z- direction. .This I have no problem with. However because of the design of the job and available tooling I …
