Designed by Bob Bourke of Raymond Loewry and Associates, the new Studebakers featured bigger, bolder grilles, sculpted sides, and small fins. The Sky Hawk did not feature the fins and came equipped with the 210bhp 289ci V8 engine.

The Studebaker Sky Hawk was a unique one-year model that emerged during the brief era of the merged Packard and Studebaker corporations.
