If you’re getting an amazing trade in deal and can’t do that through the manufacturer like you sometimes can on Apple’s website, then $35 is a small fee to pay if getting something like a flagship phone for free when your trade in would otherwise give you like $200 through the manufacturer.

And as far as the sim card goes if you go to a third party retailer then they will charge you for the sim card, if you go to a corporate location then they will give it to you for free but you still have to pay the upgrade fee.
