Jan 12, 2024 · I had issues with the new 2.0.0 update trying to image Orion, no issues before the update, the dwarf stopping image stacking twice in the session, eventually only stacking half of the 400 frames taken.

Nov 8, 2022 · I haven’t really done enough untracked to judge how far you can push things. Nebula photos on YouTube might give you a great reference point for that. But I think you’re still far away from reaching diminishing terms on total integration time. 30 vs 11 is likely going to be very noticeable already.

Feb 4, 2019 · The Orion nebula is roughly 1300 light years away. The Orion nebula is the brightest nebula in the sky, and is the closest rapid star formation area. I was able to get get a brief patch of clear sky and capture about 10 minutes of 10 second exposures.

This is my 2nd attempt at photographing the Orion nebula. The photo was taken with a Huawei P30 Pro phone directly through the eyepiece of my Skywatcher 8'' Dobsonian telescope at ISO 6400 and 3.2 second exposure time.
