2011年10月27日 · As others have mentioned, the touch-screen on the iPad just doesn't cut it as a keyboard for extensive typing, which I'm assuming university assignments and note-taking would involve. The iPad for all it's funtionality is primarily a media toy. It is great for games, netsurfing, videos on YouTube, listening to music and watching movies.

2014年6月6日 · To a certain degree it can do almost everything a laptop can. However, and this is a big however, if you manage lots of files in different formats in many folders, and lots orf videos and photos the iPad is not the best option.

2011年2月6日 · Can the iPad totally replace the need for a laptop? Especially if you just surf the net, Facebook and check your email. For your uses I would say yes. But bear in mind, you still need a computer to activate your iPad initially. Also, it's better IMO to still have a computer, because when you sync your iPad, it is backed up.
