I had a 3rd gen iPad Air with A12 and 3GB RAM, and now have a 7th gen iPad with A10 and 3GB RAM. Honestly, for my purposes, I didn’t notice a difference in performance. If you have a 6th gen or older with 2 GB RAM or less, the upgrade might be worth it.

However, where it was merely an option before, Zagg's only offering for the 6th Generation iPad mini is one with blue light reduction. Yes, I know it's healthier for my eyes.

Apart from the Lidar function I can do exactly the same on my 2nd generation 12.9" Pro and the 11" Pro. - Well, there is also the Stage Manager which I cannot do on the old iPad.

2014年8月14日 · A year ago I decided to get an 11" iPad Pro, to replace the 7th gen iPad (in that instance I traded it in). Got the magic keyboard and pencil too. I was surprised by how much nicer it was - display, speakers, everything. Terrific tablet computer. Led me to get a new M1 iPad Pro 11" for my wife about 6 months ago, so we both have 11" Pro models now.
