If you're getting a turbo engine, make sure the regulator is not attached to the rubber return line and discarded. The fuel filter for the subaru has a clamp for the engine compartment, and can be reused with the stock filter.

2017年1月3日 · Although this 1971 Volkswagen Beetle is still powered by a flat-four, the engine’s displacement and output has increased. Instead of the factory German designed motor this little Beetle is now powered by a rebuilt Subaru 2.0 EJ20G imported from Japan.

The EJ22 and EJ25 are naturally aspirated, fuel injected engines and should work well with a VW transaxle. They are lower on power (peaking around 160hp) than their turbo charged cousins, but still equate to more than 3 times the power of the stock VW engine.

2012年9月1日 · If you simply put a Subaru transmission in a beetle, it will be turning the wrong way and when you hit the accelerator you'll go backwards (they could all be driving around in reverse :V). So can someone tell me what they do to make it turn the right way?
