UWC Adriatic is located in the seaside village of Duino, Italy, at the crossroads of Germanic, Latin, and Slavic cultures. This region, just North of Trieste, has witnessed the scars of history, from the devastation of World War I to the political and ethnic divisions of the Second World War.

UWC Adriatic is one of 18 United World Colleges. It is a co-educational, international, residential school offering the rigorous two-year International Baccalaureate programme to about 190 students from some 80 different countries.

As required by the IBDP, students choose their coursesfrom each of these six subject areas: Language and Literature. Language Acquisition. Individuals and Societies. Sciences.

Established by the regional government in northern Italy, UWC Adriatic is located in the coastal village of Duino, Italy. The village is a meeting point for three significant European cultures – Slavic, Germanic and Latin.
