The Trappers' Running Club (TRC) is a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletic Association (NLAA). The TRC's primary objectives are to promote running and healthy living, to promote Labrador as a unique running location, and to encourage and invest in the development of the sport of running.

The Trapline Marathon is the TRC's largest and longest-running annual event which has seen consistent growth since its inception in 2008. Participants travel to Happy Valley-Goose Bay from all over Canada and international locations, to take part in this world-class event!

The Trapline Marathon follows along public roads and takes place on an open course, except for a two-hour road closure from 10:30am-12:30pm. This is for the South/Eastbound Lane of Hamilton River Road from the Kelland Drive intersection to Kinsmen Park.
