As the swelling subsides, the tissues in the tip relax and rotate back down.After one year, your nose will finish healing. At that point you can see about getting revision rhinoplasty to try and drop the tip further if still an issue.

A closed approach leads to less swelling but the approach used should depend on the techniques needed, the anatomical issue, and the surgeon's comfort. In general, it takes a year for all of the swelling to resolve with 90% improvement in the first 3 months. The tip is the last place for the swelling to resolve if a full rhinoplasty is done.

I personally think it’s due to the fact I wasn’t prescribed nearly as many pain medications for the second surgery.
