The Rossi team did compete with one in 1971, it's an interesting story on its own. Plymouth only built enough Superbirds to make it eligible to race in NASCAR.

Tom Pridmore in Florida bought a new Superbird in '70 without a wing. The dealer claimed it had been lot damaged. I will say that it would be a lot easier to remove the wing to make a car more marketable.

2007年7月14日 · Go to a car show and look at a real Daytona with the wing. Look in the trunk, you will need extra bracing and supports just to support the weight off te top of the fenders. If you mount it on the trunk, you may also have a problem (due to the extra weight on the trunk) with the trunk lid resting down on the bumper and causing paint wear.
