Am considering trying to scroung replacement parts off of another 025 (found a few parts on Ebay) but have decided this may be a good excuse to sell this one in a garage sale and purchase a new one. The 025 has been the perfect size, wt, power that I have needed for the past decade.

2020年6月19日 · Be careful with torque charts and Metric grade 10.9 and 12.9 screws with low thread engagement, torque charts are usually calculated to load the fastener to ~80% tensile strength and pay no regard to the bolts conditions.

2016年2月9日 · I was told that a Stihl 024 AV Wood Boss is the same engine as the 024 Super. That means it had a 44.3 cc displacement, a 42 mm bore, and a 32 mm stroke. The stroke is the same as an 026. 2005年8月2日 · I have an old home-owner grade Stihl 025 that I inherited from my Dad. It has worked well for years. Last year when I tried to use it it would crank, run for a second and then stop. After that it would not crank unless it sat for day. Repeated same thing many times. Drained all old gas/oil out. New gas/oil in. Same behavior.

2020年1月1日 · Being an 025 (which they stopped making in the early 2000s, though the MS250 is very similar) it's probably seen a fair bit of use and those parts don't last forever. And check the wear items outside the engine like the clutch, drum and sprocket though you can replace them any time. I have a Stihl 025 service manual I can send you.

2016年2月14日 · The 350 will of course have more power being a more modern 50cc saw as apposed to the 42cc's of 024. However to me at least, the 024 feels much better made in the cut, which being a pro made saw, it is. My old stock 024 was noticably stronger and seemed to rpm more when cutting side by side with a muffler modded 025.

2006年6月21日 · My Stihl won't oil the bar, but without a bar on it it spits out some oil from the dimple. Took it to the Stihl shop told them it shows oil without a bar on it, but the chain runs dry something ain't right. $19.85, told me it was fine, still doesn't oil the chain for me. Don't know what's going on with mine.--->Paul
