Jeans aren’t the worst option out there. I wear cotton in the woods all the time and have yet to die, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if I could only pick one pair of pants for the apocalypse. Long sleeve shirt is fine. A jacket is going to slow you down a lot though, and trap heat.
