SNOWTAM Decode - THE AIRLINE PILOTS
A SNOWTAM is a message describing the conditions of the runways, taxiways and apron at an aerodrome. During the winter season a SNOWTAM will be issued each day in the morning, before flying starts. A SNOWTAM is valid for 24 hours, but there are rules stating that a new SNOWTAM shall be issued sooner if significant changes occur.

General a) When reporting on two or three runways, repeat Items C to P inclusive. b) Items together with their indicator must be dropped completely, where no information is to be included. c) Metric units must be used and the unit of measure- ment not reported.
ICAO intends to change SNOWTAM formatting to a new Global Reporting Format (GRF) for runway surface conditions on November 4, 2021. On August 12, 2021, Europe made the change to the new GRF to avoid making the change during their winter season.
