Nov 2, 2023 · Roku TVs prefer Wi-fi remotes (something no DIRECTV remote can do) but they should respond to the appropriate IR code set. There may also be an option to use CEC and not have to fuss with programming the remote (other than to turn the TV off).

Apr 19, 2022 · Use a universal remote (though the suggested system isn't very popular anymore). TCL lists DIRECTV remote sets 11756 and 10706. If those don't work, your next best hope is to contact TCL and see if the TV's code set is the same as some other brand's TV. Because TCL manufactures many brands, they may have used the code set from one of those brands.

Feb 19, 2024 · That said, any universal remote that can control a Roku-built TV should handle a DIRECTV STB via IR. Unless your TV came with something fancier than the Voice Remote Pro (number keys, record and skip at least), I can't see using it to control a DIRECTV STB.

Dec 14, 2023 · Without knowing what the TV model number is and which DISH remote you are using, it isn't easy to say. TCL has multiple Roku TV remote codes and not all models may be supported by your current DISH remote.

I don't know the DTV remote number (it's worn off the remote face) but the remote does not contain codes to control this tv, after going through the whole search effort and trying the codes listed so far in this thread.

Jul 12, 2024 · Since my Gemini got a software update, when I power off my TV via the DirecTV remote, the TV goes off and about 5 seconds later comes back on. This is happening on all the TV in my house. I need to press the off button a few times before the TV stays off. Anyone else experiencing this same issue?
