Apr 19, 2022 · I really miss the old deviantArt too. The categories system wasn’t perfect but was great for discovering new artists in really niche areas. I loved the way you could narrow down the results to something like traditional media --> painting --> landscapes, for example, then apply search words and time criteria on top of that.

Apr 11, 2022 · I miss the old DA, back when the community was great and before it was corrupted with art thieves and child p*rn. It was the first art sharing community I joined, back in the very early 2000s. I managed to get some fame on there and built a bit of a following 2 times, but never made any money as it was mostly fanart I did.

Jun 4, 2022 · i’m not an artist but used to love looking through deviant. it’s absolutely garbage now and annoying to use. with the old layout it was so easy to go down a rabbit hole of similar style and vibes. unless i’m missing something, there’s no option now to ‘show more like this’ under a particular piece that catches your eye, which was such a good feature and it worked so well
