2023年7月19日 · After kind of viewing the GMRS community from a far for a while, wanting to hop in with a higher wattage radio with a good set of bells and whistles, I recently purchased a Midland MXT400. The Midland website had a good sale on a bundle with everything I needed to install for only 30 ish dollars more than the 15 watt model in the same bundle.

2018年3月11日 · IF the LT-590 is just a limited version of the MXT400, and, one wanted to build a part-95 acceptable repeater out of “MXT400”s, then one could use the LT-590 as the receiver. I am not saying the receiver would, or would not, be selective or sensitive enough.

2024年3月11日 · This confirms that there is no output from the MXT400. So I have decided to return the radio to Midland for a replacement or repair, since the radio is only 4 months old. Thanks for any and all of the responses. I’ll update the findings whenever I hear back from Midland support. Everett

2021年12月28日 · The Midland MXT400 looks nearly identical to the TYT TH-9000D (and its Retevis RT9000D clone), and I suspect also looks largely identical on the inside, too. Other than minor cosmetic changes and different firmware, I suspect they're essentially the same radio.

2020年5月2日 · Some repeaters use a different tone for receive and transmit. Your MXT400 (as well as every other Midland GMRS radio) can only use the same code/tone on BOTH transmit and receieve. On the listing for the repeater do you see: 462.575 DPL156. 467.575 DPL156 Or do you see a different code/tone for each of the frequencies?

2023年12月5日 · The mxt400 doesn't have NOAA channels. I hear no static. Its only when receiving on gmrs repeater channels. I also have a Wouxun KG-XS20G Plus GMRS radio and there is nothing wong with my audio on it. its only on my mxt400.

2020年4月17日 · The major limitations of the MXT400 (bandwidth and split PL) can be overcome. Any doubt that the MXT400 is a Luiton LT-590 on Prosac have been removed. That is somewhat worse than 11K3F3E which is what a narrow band is these days. A proper "wide band" radio complying fully with GMRS specs will have an emission designator of 16K0F3E or …
