Although shelved post-Conan deal, Smith transferred graphic elements from his Kull design to launch Marvel's seminal 1970s Conan the Barbarian series. Crafted in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 7.5" x 11.5". Panel 2 is an original art paste-up on the larger board. There is handling wear on the toned board.
