The tool room got a Moore jig bore about a year before I was transferred to a different positon in the company. I ran the Moore jig bore many times in that year. Great machine. Jim

2006年4月19日 · What I am saying is if you need a jig bore all that is great advice but if you just need a drill press they work great even if they are a little worn and I dont tie up my mill. I paid 100 bucks for it and it came with a load of tooling.

2008年9月16日 · Jig borers were made with the intention to do some light milling, to skim a surface flat and perpendicular to a bore for example. Considering the expense of the tooling (Moore and Linley have their own proprietary tooling), and the possible cost of upkeep of the spindles, you may be better off digging up a small mill.
