Herta Bothe (8 March 1921 – 16 March 2000) was a German concentration camp guard during World War II. She was imprisoned for war crimes after the defeat of Nazi Germany , and was subsequently released early from prison on 22 December 1951.

2003年12月8日 · Herta Bothe was a camp guard at Bergen-Belsen in 1945. From her own account, she arrived there sometime between February 20th-26th, 1942, but it wasn't until mid-March, 1942, that she was put in charge of a wood kommando.

2022年3月21日 · Bothe’s exceptional cruelty and brutality earned her a nickname "Sadist of Stutthof". She was responsible for a troop of wood commando consisting of 60 Russian female prisoners cutting wood into smaller parts.

Herta Bothe accompanied a death march of woman from central Poland to Bergen-Belsen. She was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. Herta Bothe was released early from prison on 22 December 1951.
