From Wikipedia: On 31 July 2020, the completed MD-160 Lun-class ekranoplan was towed out of the naval base in Kaspiysk, with the intention of being eventually put on public display in Derbent, Dagestan, at the planned Patriot Park, a combination museum and theme park that will display Soviet and Russian military equipment.

Ekranoplan is the type of vehicle, but there are different models the way that a 747 and an F-18 are both airplanes. The Soviets only completed one of the Lun -class ekranoplans but they (and other countries including the US) designed and built others.

An aeroplane that can't fly over shit, or a ship that can't cope with a wave. And the Soviet idea of an Ekranoplan rescue craft is just about the stupidest idea ever.

2021年8月25日 · Ekranoplan efficiency vs high altitude jets is something of a wash. What they gain from lift effect they lose in having to deal with air much thicker than the stratosphere. Ekranoplans are *hilariously* less efficient than ships. I have no idea where you got that idea, but it's so wrong it might as well be on mars.
