Shortly after the Infinity War began, Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian of the Black Order descended upon Greenwich Village in New York City to acquire the Time Stone from Doctor Strange. As Strange and Iron Man engaged in offensive combat against the Black Order, Wong summoned the Shield of the Seraphim to protect himself and Bruce Banner .

His secondary fire, Shield of the Seraphim, projects a large radial shield in front of him that absorbs all incoming projectiles while moving at a slower speed. This ability can even block certain Ultimates, such as the blasts shot by Hela 's Goddess of Death. Doctor Strange can use this ability while flying with his Cloak of Levitation.
