2020年5月20日 · The Deora was based on the Dodge A-100 compact pickup. Much like a Ford Ranchero or Chevy El Camino, it combined a pickup truck with a car. The result was a new type of vehicle, essentially a pre-crossover utility vehicle.

The Deora II debuted in Hot wheel world race, driven by the protagonist, Vert Wheeler, IIRC. My personal favorite car from that movie. It reappeared briefly in Acceleracers, but blew up in like, episode 2, again, IIRC.

Deora started as a real truck, Hotwheels made a die cast, later Hotwheels modernized it and made a Deora II die cast, then they went ahead and made a real life Deora II. So Deora II is a real car designed off a hot wheel designed off another hot wheel designed after another real car. The picture is the original Deora.

The Deora is a 1965 Dodge A100 pickup truck that was heavily customized by Mike and Larry Alexander in Detroit for the 1967 Detroit Autorama. After winning many awards, including the Ridler in 1967, it became the prototype for a Hot Wheels car, and plastic model kit. It was sold at auction in 2009 for US$324,500.

2021年11月27日 · They used an early 2000s Cadillac Deville limousine package car for the donor vehicle, there was an episode on TLCs rides about it. Cool side note, the Deora II was Vert Wheeler’s (protagonist) car in the Highway 35 World Race Series and his father’s car is very similar in styling to the Cadillac Deville the Deora II was based on.

2021年4月24日 · There was a Deora 2 Hot Wheels and Chip Foose did another version in 2000. I think the car Foose did became the Deora 3 Hot Wheels. It's all a bit convoluted since some people call the newest version 1 thing and others call it something else.

2019年8月29日 · The Dodge Deora was based on the 1965 Dodge A100 pickup truck, and it was customized by Mike and Larry Alexander for the '67 Detroit Autorama. Originally not a Dodge project, the Deora was the full-sized concept version of one of the first Hot Wheels toys, but was so loved by Dodge management that they put it on tour.

Technically a GM when you consider that the real Deora II is built on a Cadillac Deville chassis with a Northstar engine. Chrysler/Dodge had zero involvement in the build of the real Deora II. In other words, the real life Deora II is absolutely NOT an officially licensed Dodge vehicle
