yep, if you download the replacer version it should replace the default dawnguard armor models. Alternatively, there is a standalone version, which adds new recipes to craft the armors without changing the default dawnguard armors.

The Deathbrand set is dope tho. I use that or the dragonbone set you find with enchantments +50 health on helmet +40 carry weight on boots 100% fire resistance on armor and +30% to two handed damage.

The Dawnguard Heavy Armor is actually realistic to a degree not usually seen in Skyrim. They're essentially hardened plates over flexible cloth and additional protection over areas like the shoulders. Ideally the hands should have more metal protection because those are the things you'll be getting the closest to the enemy weapon.

I hope one day someone adds som subtle SMP physics to the lower tabbard then I'll never need to use anything else lol. Edit: I didn't even notice the improvement to the Dawnguard weapons! One thing I never liked about the swords was how 'clean' and undamaged they looked.
