Super Saiyan 5 (超サイヤ人5 Sūpā Saiya-jin Faibu) is a hypothetical Saiyan transformation that was briefly mentioned in Dragon Ball GT. The existence of this transformation was speculated on in Dragon Ball GT by Bulma in reference to her Blutz Wave Generator that she hoped would be enough to allow her husband, Vegeta, to ascend to Super Saiyan 4.

Super Saiyan 5 is a hypothetically next stage of the Super Saiyan 4, was mentioned by Vegeta in Dragon Ball GT's episode #55 when he said about surpassing his limits. Super Saiyan 5 is the name of a bunch of infamous fanmade transformations from multiple doujinshis, fanfictions and modded video games.

Vegeta is the first antagonist of the overall series to seek the Dragon Balls for immortality. Though rarely, he has addressed Gokū by his Earthling name, rather than his Saiyan name. Despite wanting to surpass Gokū, the latter has never defeated him. Though it could be that Gokū wounded his pride (considering his elite rank).
