Recommendation for EOS 60D Replacement that Accept
2023年11月7日 · My favorite lens is the EFS13-135mm., but I also use the EF 50mm Macro with a life-size convertor often. The last lens I have is the EF70-300mm zoom lens with stabilizer. I would like to have a camera that would accept these 3 lenses. I mostly use the camera for flora, fauna and landscapes, but also sports. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

2024年9月27日 · Since DSLRs are no longer being developed, my upgrade recommendation for a new camera would be mirrorless. For reference, your 60D is a 14 yr old camera. You can stretch your budget a bit buying Canon Refurbished gear. (Same 1 yr warranty as new gear) with significant cost savings.

That puts me on track to reach 100,000 shutter counts within 2 years." Really? Is that "new math" ? 5652 divide by 3 to get monthly = 1884. 1884 x 24 months = 45,216. Not even half way!

2025年1月10日 · Officially, only Canon can provide this information. However, the 60D is no longer serviceable. There may be old software out there, but it's compatibility and accuracy might be hit or miss. Others may be able to advise differently.

2013年12月1日 · On the 60D all 9 AF points are the better cross-type points. The focus system is a nice advantage. The pop-up flash on the 60D can work as a "master" to control off-camera speedlites (they must be Canon or compatible speedlites capable of function as off-camera "slave" flashes -- not all flashes support this.)

2023年10月1日 · Note that the EOS 60D was released 13 years ago, so Canon no longer has the BP-511 battery. I do see some non-Canon brand batteries at B&H Photo, but the Watson brand seems to only have the BP-511A. Canon's BP-511A battery is not listing the EOS 60D in its compatibility section, so assuming that you couldn't thus use a BP-511A.

2024年11月15日 · So I recently purchased the sigma 18-35mm 1.8 for use with my Canon 60D. The lens only works in AF if I change my camera settings to center focus rather than AI focus. Kind of disappointing but it's working well so far despite that. Right now the bigger issue is I cannot shoot and focus in live view...

I uninstall and reinstall the version from Canon’s online site for the EOS 60D. The only s/w there that looks possibly eligible is “EOS Utility 2.14.20a Updater for Windows.”
