2014年5月31日 · Depends a lot on the pilot and airplane. My experience has been that for the low time pilot in a typical 4 seat GA single, Avemco is hard to beat. Start moving up to higher performance/more exotic aircraft and Avemco gets downright stoopid. I've had an overall good experience with Avemco, although I am about to get rid of them in a couple of weeks.

2014年9月22日 · Avemco can be a good option for oddball planes, oddball pilots and 'step up' situations. They tend to be more expensive but are willing to discount heavily when faced with the prospect of losing an account. The big downside with Avemco is a 'per person' sublimit which also applies to persons outside of your aircraft.

2013年7月5日 · In one aspect, AIG provides you better coverage than Avemco: Avemco has a 'per person' sublimit, AIG has a 'per passenger' sublimit. So if you hurt someone outside of your plane with a Avemco policy, you are pretty much on your own. If you can swing a 1700 premium, consider upping your coverage to one without sublimits.

2012年6月21日 · Avemco said if they met the minimum requirements, they would be covered for hull insurance but not liability. Do ferry pilots usually have their own non-owners policy for hull and liability? If I were to name them on my policy I would no longer get non-owned coverage I want with my policy, so don't think that is an option.

2018年10月17日 · Avemco paid to have my plane removed from the field where I made a forced landing under the liability policy without any trouble. Always good to deal with. I would have stayed with them for my new plane if they were close, but Falcon was significantly cheaper on the hull this time (didn't have hull last time).

2014年8月12日 · So, I have Avemco renters insurance. So far it's been a good deal. I signed in with Open Airplane and I need to provide the top cover to my insurance policy. So I went to Avemco.com to log-in and view my policy, except there's no place to log in. The only places I can find are either to pay a premium or report a claim.
