2019年6月5日 · As of 2020, Asia consists of 48 countries, of which two (Turkey and Russia) are also located in Europe. Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia can also be considered to be located in both continents. The largest country in Asia is China, followed by India. And the smallest is the Maldives.

Asia shares the landmass of Eurasia with Europe, and of Afro-Eurasia with both Europe and Africa. In general terms, it is bounded on the east by the Pacific Ocean, on the south by the Indian Ocean, and on the north by the Arctic Ocean.

Asia is subdivided into 49 countries, five of which (Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkey) are transcontinental countries lying partly in Europe.
