2025年1月25日 · Zebra 4×5 Dry Plate Tintypes are Thin Black Aluminium Plates coated with ultra fine grain Silver Gelatine emulsion that is sensitive only to UV and blue light with nominal sensitivity of ISO 2. They deliver an impressive positive image with the finest grain quality at extreme resolution.

The 4x5 Bulk Tintype Kit is an authentic re-creation of the tintype process, a type of “instant” photography that was popular in your great-grandparent’s day. These are safe dry-plate tintypes, also known as ferrotypes, like those found in antique shops, not modern imitations.

J. Lane 4x5 plates are actually cut to 100mm x 127mm to fit ALL plate holders (including Linhof, Chamonix, etc., as well as plate holders from the era of dry plate photography).
