2012年11月15日 · In a beta firmware Viofo is offering the 4K Ultrawide resolution as 3840x1600 which means 2.4 or 21:9 aspect ratio described on Wikipedia as UW 1600. Usually the sky or dashboard or car hood is not useful as informations in a dashcam video so the bitrate is used more for the needed image.

2012年11月15日 · The advantages of 21:9 aspect ratio (which I am using always!) are: 1. same bitrate as for 16:9 is used also for 21:9 which means more Bits/(Pixel*Frame) and the result should be better image for 21.9 compared to 16:9

2013年3月1日 · They have a new one coming which has no fish eye lens and records at 21:9 aspect ratio and records in 1080p 30fps to 240fps or Ultra HD 30fps to 60fps both in 21:9 aspect ratio. I see newer TV's are coming with this wide aspect ratio too from Samsung, Sony, AOC, etc... which don't cost to much more than current 16:9 TV's.
