The United States 10,000-dollar bill (US$10000) (1878–1934) is an obsolete denomination of the United States dollar. The $10,000 note was the highest denomination of US currency to be used by the public and was no longer issued after 1969.

The 10,000 dollar bill was the largest sized bill ever issued to the American public. It's a real bill but the public rarely ever saw one because they were used exclusively for bank transfers and other large transactions.

Beginning in July 1969, the Federal Reserve began removing high-denomination currency from circulation and destroying any large bills returned by banks. [11] As of May 30, 2009, only 336 $10,000 bills were known to exist, along with 342 $5,000 bills, 165,372 $1,000 bills and fewer than 75,000 $500 bills (of over 900,000 printed).

2023年6月5日 · Like other higher-denomination currencies, the $10,000 bill has been out of print since 1945 and out of circulation since 1969. From 1918 to 1969, Salmon P. Chase appeared on the $10,000 bill, the back of which originally featured a vignette commemorating the Pilgrims.
