2022年12月26日 · VCR eating tapes hopefully should be an easier fix than an electrical one. My current one thats being repaired has a bad capacitor and transistor, which is completely out of my league. Something could be out of alignment as someone above said. The idler could need replacement. Its all dependent on what parts are used in your VCR.

The spindles then dont turn properly and the vcr ejects the tape without spooling it back up. A fix without replacing the actual idler wheel in getting a small piece of sandpaper (or little sandpaper stick you can get on amazon) and just evenly rubbing it on the rubber idler wheel. This gives it its grippiness back and voila, vcr is runnin.
