The Riverside Live Steamers is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to providing steam powered train rides to the public. Our train rides for the public are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10am-3pm.

A group of interested railroad enthusiasts in Riverside led by Dr. John Creighton undertook negotiations with the city to assure that the 7.5 inch gauge railroad would not be neglected. In 1965, the City Council officially turned over to the fledgling Riverside Live Steamers, the responsibility for maintaining and operating the train.

Riverside live steamers is the only larg scale rairoad club in the United States that is dedicated exclusively to steam locomotives. Our trains are modeled in 1.5 inch to the foot (1/8 scale) or 2.5 inch to the foot(1/5 scale) narrow gage, both scales run on 7 1/2" gage track.
