If you are, then you don't have to worry about "Ports". That is a legacy issue from when we had to use special "serial" or "Parallel' ports and cables to connect devices like printers and scanners.

2020年5月28日 · I have had 3 windows 10 computers with this recent problem. The printer ports list is incomplete with missing "created by me local ports" (standard ports are visible and fine). If I try to add a missing port back in the list I get a message the port already exists. Yet I cannot assign a missing port to a printer.

2018年8月20日 · Clicked yes and tried again. Now, when I print, there is a pop-up box indicating there is a problem with the port but the printer works anyway. On checking the ports, the printer is allocated to WSD port but I am sure it was previously set up on the TCP/IP port and the printer IP address is still showing on that port's detail.
