2005年3月11日 · The Blue Box produces a signal one and two octaves below the original. However, if you put the blend control mostly to the original octave side, it just makes lots of weird fuzzy noises. It also helps to play very high notes (relative to normal bass stuff).

2017年10月18日 · I tried using a few different gain pedals in front an oc-2. decided on using a rat, but right when I was about to record I remembered the dod death metal distortion that we use for noise and bass (it makes a very good bass fuzz, for heavier music). It sounded way better and a lot more parameters to tweak. I like the blue box, but it is limited.

I haven't tried the Blue Box, but I'll recommend the Pollyanna in its place; The Pollyanna is basically a Blue Box on steriods with control over -2, -1, dry, and +1 octaves, as well as a tone control over the octaves. Same basic tone, but way more control and I'd say much more usable on bass. Great pedal!
