Joe Vitt (born August 23, 1954) is an American football coach who is the senior defensive assistant for the Denver Broncos [1] [2] of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the assistant head coach and linebackers coach of the New Orleans Saints of the NFL.

Joe Vitt enters his 43 rd season in the NFL and second as senior defensive assistant for the Denver Broncos in 2024. He was hired by the club on March 25, 2023. Beginning his coaching career in 1979 with the Baltimore Colts, Vitt has worked for nine NFL clubs prior to the Broncos.
