It's a Knockout! is a British game show first broadcast in 1966. It was adapted from the French show Intervilles, and was part of the international Jeux sans frontières franchise. The series was broadcast on BBC1 from 7 August 1966 to 30 July 1982; thereafter a number of specials were broadcast until 25 December 1988.

It's A Knockout - The BBC Series. The first BBC series in 1966 was hosted by McDonald Hobley with the various assistance of Charlie Chester and Ted Ray. The referees being Eddie Waring and Stuart Hall ! The second series was billed as McDonald Hobley (presenter) and David Vine (Master of Ceremonies). In 1968 Katie Boyle replaced McDonald Hobley.

The final game is then played. Points are scored on a kind of Formula 1 basis, although playing your joker on your best game gave you a fighting chance of getting double points.

It's a Knockout ran on the BBC until 1982, but returned in 1987 with the charity special Grand Knockout Tournament, featuring members of the Royal family and a host of celebrity contestants.

The excitement of It's a Knockout as teams from the supporters' clubs of Fulham and West Ham meet in this special contest for Cup Final Day. Among the personalities joining in are present and past players and celebrity supporters.
