2012年7月30日 · Most Honda transmissions originally used Z1 fluid, which was a different fluid. DW-1 is back-spec'd to all Honda automatics, but users' experience with DW-1 in Z1 transmissions is hit-and-miss. My wife's parents have a 2011 CR-V, and DW-1 is the open fluid in that vehicle. That transmission shifts pretty well on that fluid (even after 20k miles).

2020年8月1日 · What I can say is that Full Synthetic Valvoline MaxLife ATF has a proven track record. Especially in the 5-speed Honda transmission. I'm going to guinea pig the Beck Arnley Full Synthetic DW-1 stuff in this 3rd Gen 6-speed Pilot and see what happens. The Honda DW-1 in this vehicle was black at 19k miles.

2011年12月28日 · That is not Honda DW-1 approved fluid. Not that I wouldn't use it, but it falls under the same exact "approval" criteria as does the Maxlife. It can't be licensed fluid despite what Amazon might print. Aisin themselves say "AISIN ATF-DW1 Formulated for DW-1 Applications". Well stated and informative.

2013年4月13日 · So both my Hondas are due for an ATF D&F. I'm usually a Honda ATF only guy but MaxLife has performed so well in my Infiniti that I'm considering using it this time around. DW-1 overall has smooth shifts but the downshifting can sometimes be a little clunky, like when slowing down for a traffic light but then accelerating again.
