2022年4月9日 · I've been wondering if this the HIKVISION camera or the PoE switch. I have a small PoE switch that gets connected to the other switches. I was thinking it was the PoE switch but I do see orange and green lights on the HIKVISION cable. This is a major hassle. My one HIKVISION cam has a mount in masonry, climbing up, dismounting it, etc.

Don't worry about the aspect ratio being wrong; Blue Iris should detect and correct this automatically. 2015年4月8日 · Hikvision WILL show video from both cameras, and will record 24/7 only when manual record is activated. Both cameras will NOT allow the NVR to make any changes to the cameras settings, nor allow you to set motion detection, or any other trip alarms. The NVR also will not allow me to change the camera name in the camera list.

2017年10月6日 · All of things brings me to a really good point. I love Hikvision cameras and the various rebrands (etc). Incredible, for both video quality and bang for the buck. That said, they need to get their ass in gear and redesign how web access is done, pronto. It has long been known that they way that Hik delivers video via the web is a security hole.

2016年3月2日 · Last year I purchased 4 chinese Hikvision DS-2CD3332 cameras. Initially I just attached them to my router via a poe switch. I was so impressed with them that I decided to buy an NVR to go with them. In addition I purchased another 4 x UK 2332 cameras and another NVR (7604) to put in another property.

2015年8月13日 · New to this forum, but started reading about the new Hikvision firmware, and stumbled on this. Last year I installed the DS-2CD2532F-IS on my front porch, and used the Alarm input, trigger by my front doorbell via an elk sensitive relay, to notify via the hikvision app, as well as email to sms/mms, an alert to my phone/ipad etc.

2017年3月5日 · This isn't the first backdoor and won't be the last. Best not to put Hikvision cameras online in the first place without proper protection. Such as a VPN, or at least some video management software that keeps the cameras secure while providing video access.

2015年3月31日 · Similar issue here but with a more recent Hikvision bullet camera, here it's a DS-2CD2035FWD-I with moisture inside. 2 days ago I mounted it on an exterior wall and completed the cable connection to the NVR yesterday, all worked as required.

If that makes things too grainy then increase the light (white light and/or IR via external illuminator, preferably with the internal IR turned off). Then increase the speed again til you're happy.
