Or if you have a Garmin Edge device x20/x30/x40 you can calibrate via the edge . Calibration on Tacx trainers is a mystery, at least to me. I had a Flow and it would NEVER calibrate via the app ALWAYS "too loose" , I broke the blue wheel thing tightening the thing but it calibrated always via my 530 and that seemed to "flow" over to using the app.

I raised a case with support - they are offering me a resistance unit (motor) replacement at ~80% of the new price (the trainer is outside warranty at 3,5 years). Not happy, but still better than any of the alternatives

I just purchased a Tacx Flow Smart Trainer, and I can't get the calibration to work!! The utility calibration won't start. It started once and then gave me an error, and now I can't get it going. I called support and they told me to reload the app - still didn't work.

- Will the Tacx app on a Windows computer and service work with a non-Tacx smart trainer such as a Wahoo Kickr? I've heard some reports that it requires you be on a Tacx trainer. Is this true? I found (oddly) that while the Flow would not calibrate with the Tacx Training App it would calibrate if using the "Calibrate Indoor Trainer" option on my Garmin 530, in fact it always just calibrated without any adjustment to the roller pressure.

The other day my trainer simply stopped adjusting resistance during workouts. I tried updating the firmware but that froze partway through. I thought it might be a problem with Rouvy but the same thing happens in the Tacx app. It does still adjust resistance based on slope grade. Can't fit the life of me figure out how to fix this.

Bottom line is that I am using my garmin 945 as the recorder of all my activities. The smart trainer (Flux 2) is only paired as power/cadans/speed sensor to both the 945 and the 830. (This as I have experienced that my 945 will override the control by the Tacx app or e.g. ZWIFT, when paired as indoortrainer - even in free ride mode).
